Esterases of the blood serum, liver, and small intestine mucosa of rats after γ-irradiation

Description
Isoenzymes of esterases of the blood serum, liver and small intestine mucosa of rats have been comparatively studied at varying times after γ-irradiation with doses ranging from 350 to 15,000 rads. The most drastic defects were detected in the small intestine mucosa three days after a dose of 1000 rads. Effect of different radiation doses is discussed in view of the localization and functional role of individual isoenzymes
