Charge exchange cross sections measured at low energies in Q machines

Description
A new technique for measurements of charge exchange cross sections at low energies is described. The measurements are performed in a single-ended Q machine. The resonance charge exchange cross section for Cs at 2 eV was found to be 0.6×10−13 cm2±20%.
