A new fast median filtering algorithm

The media-value filtering is a method often used in image process, which can effectively preserve the picture edge enhance but can not satisfy the requirement of rapid process to large image. A new fast filtering Algorithm in which a mean value method is adopted is brought forward here, which can greatly decrease the temporal complexity of mid-value filtering method and therefore get a high efficiency in calculation. It is shown by the experiment in image process of the larger container inspection system that this algorithm has a very fast speed in image process and ameliorate the real time characteristic of the whole system
