Ionic conductivity and charge transport in crystals of cadmium bromides

Description

The results are presented of investigation of ion conductivity and of currents of thermostimulated depolarization of cadmium bromide single-crystals. Maxima are observed at the temperatures at 260, 310 and 500 K. Their formation has been shown to be due to dipole polarization, arising of a space charge produced by ion conductivity and to appearance of a thermostimulated electromotive force caused by electrochemical interaction. The calculated activation energy of the ion conductivity is 0.82 eV
