Nature of oxide phases in metals and alloys proiduced by aluminothermal method

Description
On the example of transition metal-aluminium alloys peculiarities of oxygen behaviour during aluminothermal reduction smelting are investigated. Curves of oxygen content dependence on aluminium concentration in Nb-O-Al and V-O-Al alloys are presented and analyzed. Methods of decreasing oxygen content in the form of oxide phases aimed at improving the alloy properties are recommended
