Complex development of nuclear power in Czechoslovakia

In preparation of the five years' plan from 1986 6o 1990 state goal programmes have been worked out to ensure development of the main directions of economic policy. One of the central points of interest is the state goal programme 01 'Development of nuclear power industry up to 2000'. Based on the tasks of power industry in the CSSR this paper discussed problems of erecting and operating nuclear power plants, of using nuclear plants to meet heat consumption, and of ensuring the nuclear fuel needed. Responsibility of the utilities of mechanical engineering and building industry for the intended utilization of nuclear power is derived, and conclusions are drawn as to the management of these complex processes.
