Description
The second order Kerman, McManus and Thaler optical potential model is used in the analysis of 800 MeV proton elastic scattering data from sup(144,154)Sm. Correlation terms arising from the large intrinsic deformation of 154Sm are included and are found to be quite significant. Neutron isotopic density distribution and rms radius differences are determined and are seen to be in good agreement with deformed basis, Hartree-Fock predictions. (orig.)
