Effective potential in two-dimensional anti-de Sitter space
Description
Methods of computing the one-loop effective potential in anti-de Sitter (AdS) space are studied taking the two-dimensional case as an explicit example. Use of the AdS eigenfunctions exhibits several undesirable features, which are overcome if one uses euclidean-sphere eigenfunctions instead. The O(N) Wess-Zumino model in (AdS)2 is found to give a new type of supersymmetry breaking. (orig.)
