A facility for ion implantation in samples colder than 0.5 K

A system is presented where radioactive samples for low temperature nuclear orientation studies can be prepared by in situ implantation of ions from an isotope separator into a host lattice kept at temperatures below 0.5 K on the cold finger of a dilution refrigerator. (author)
