Description

The contamination of livestock products by the radioactive cesium (Cs134 and Cs137) is a serious problem in Tohoku area after the accident of the Fukushima No.1 nuclear power plant. The presuming techniques of the radioactive cesium concentration in muscle and blood for these beef cattle were developed in this study. We found that the measurements of the radioactive cesium from outside of body are really possible by using several inches(") NaI scintillation detectors. (author)
