Description
The invention is aimed at simplification of design and improvement of reliability of ion source. The ion source contains a cylidrical cathode, a iguiting electrode, an anode, an ion collector and a high-voltage transformer. The aim is achieved by the fact that an additional winding located at the same core, is connected to the transformer high-voltage output. A self-agreed regime of plasma generation and ion acceleration from a single pulse transformer does not require any synchronization systems, and the process of plasma initiation is realized not only in the beginning of a voltage pulse, but during the basic arc discharge break as well. 1 fig
