Characteristic features of solution softening and hardening in B.C.C. metals
- 1. Max-Planck-Institut fuer Metallforschung, Stuttgart
Description
The characteristic features of solution softening and hardening in FeN and NbN single crystals were examined. Results are presented in plots showing the existence of three temperature stages with two hardening/softening transitions. An anomaly observed at intermediate temperatures in the temperature sensitivity due to the addition atoms can be described phenomenologically by gradual suppression of the flat region in the curves for purified crystals
