Description
The fish is a source of protein and microelements for humans. Because of this, it is part of the diet, especially in coastal areas like Sepetiba Bay. However, it can also pose health problems with its deterioration and translocate radionuclides into the human diet. The assessment of fish translocation has never been a focus of attention. The reason for this is that radiation has focused on humans: 'if humans are protected, biota will be.' until publication 60. The institution that asserted this statement in the 1977 publication number 27 and reinforced it in the 1991 publication 60, first raised doubts in and was later discarded in publication. Now, the protection of biota must be explicit. Starting with publication 103 in 2007, a framework supported by various publications has been created, accompanied by the IAEA, along with many guides, forming a framework for biota protection that has not reached the complexity of human radioprotection but has evolved more rapidly than human radioprotection.
