Research on the vessels of untwisted carbon fiber reinforcend lining metal subjected to internal pressure

Description

The metal vessels subjected to internal pressure, which reinforced by carbon fiber composite, have been widely applied in national defense, aeronautics and petrification. Reinforced material with excellent performance and proper stress distribution for the lining metal play a key role on the structure. Theories and computational methods for material properties, failure performance and strength criterion of untwisted carbon fiber composite reinforced lining metal vessels are explored and discussed. The minmum tension of applied prestress for the carbon fiber winding process is determined. According to the finite element method, stress distribution relative to certain internal pressure loaded on the vessels are obtained. In addition, destructive tests are carried on the vessels in sratic internal pressure testing equipment, compared with theoretical results, the reliability of numerical algorithms adopted in this paper was validated.
