Description
The dynamics of finite-length electron beam motion in a magnetic helical undulator is investigated theoretically. The expression for the force of two electron interaction in the undulator is presented in an analytical form. Numerical results of the one-dimensional amplification regime for the short-length electron beam are presented and the efficiency of free-electron lasers using such beams is determined
