Theoretical study on electron impact excitation of Ni-like Au51+ ions
- 1. Department of Physics, College of Science, Shihezi University, Shihezi (China)
Description
The electron impact excitation (EIE) cross sections of Ni-like Au51+ ion from 3 ι (ι = s, p, d) to all of 4 ι , 5 ι (ι = s, p, d, f) states are calculated systematically by using the fully relativistic distorted-wave (RDW) program. The rate coefficients connected with the strongest 4d-4p (J = 0-1) X-ray laser transitions of Ni-like Au51+ ion are also computed systematically. The EIE cross sections versus different energies of incident electron and the rate coefficients versus different electron temperatures are studied, and some important conclusions are summarized. Also, comparisons of the present calculations with the available experimental results are made, a good agreement is found. (authors)
