Determination of several impurity elements in uranium compounds by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES)
Description
The analytical control of nuclear grade uranium compounds demands the use of very sensible analytical techniques which permit the determination of the impurity elements at low level concentrations. In this work the determination of Al, Ag, Ba, Bi, Ca, Mg, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo, Ni, Pb, Sn, V, Zn and Zr in uranium compounds was studied. TBP was used as uranium extracting agent and ICP-AES as analytical technique. (C.M.)
