Description
In order to deal with the radioactive waste salts that produced in the process of plutonium pyrochemistry, minimize the radioactive waste and recycle plutonium, the development of dry processing technology to treat radioactive waste salts containing plutonium in the main nuclear countries was reviewed in this paper, including metallic chemical reduction method, electrochemical reduction method and vacuum salt distillation. The technical routes, process characteristics and current status of these technologies were summarized. The regeneration and reuse of the specific components molten salt was also introduced briefly. The comprehensive comparison of various dry process routes shows that the vacuum salt distillation process has obvious advantages, and should be given priority to developing in China. (authors)
