Measurement of soft X-ray fluctuations using vacuum photoelectric detectors

  • 1. Academia Sinica, Hefei, AN (China). Inst. of Plasma Physics

Description

In this paper the principle and structure of vacuum photoelectric detectors (VPD) is described. Results of measurements on soft X-ray (SX) fluctuations using VPD are presented for a tokamak plasma with T-bare of 100 eV. The SX signals can be observed when Te0 is approximately equal to or greater than 110 eV. The typical sawtooth waveforms of internal disruptive m = 0, n = 0 mode, the signals of low mode number disturbances, and disruptive instability have been observed. Effects of applied helical fields on the disruptive instability have been studied
