An experimental investigation of the thermoelectric generation of flux in a superconducting bimetallic loop
Description
Assuming that the transition temperature Tsub(c) of one of the superconductors is appreciably less than that of the other, Garland and Van Harlingen (1974) predicted the way in which the change in magnetic flux linking the loop at temperatures close to Tsub(c) should depend on the temperature difference between its two juctions. Their proposals have been investigated using a superconducting loop formed from niobium and tantalum wire. (Auth.)
