Description
The production yield for negative 209 Bi ions and compounds as obtained by sputtering the material with Cs ions in a high current ion source was determined. The accelerated Bi material consumption during the sputter process was also determined and the optimum chemical form of Bi suitable for an AMS experiment was established. (authors)
