Nickel alloy brazing material and method of manufacturing grid using the same and the grid

Description

A grid to be used in a nuclear fuel assembly is manufactured by using a brazing material made of a nickel alloy comprising 10.0% or less to 12.0% or less of Cr, 7.0% or more and less than 9.0% of P and impurities of 0.59% or less in total and the balance of Ni. Straps made of a nickel alloy having a slit are assembled at the slit portion into a lattice like configuration, and the intersecting portions of the straps are brazed by using the brazing material made of the nickel alloy. According to the method, satisfactory wettability can be obtained without applying a nickel plating as a pretreatment, and the brazing can be conducted at an appropriate bonding strength. It is not necessary to introduce new facility thereby enabling to simplify the manufacturing step, reduce the cost and improve the productivity. (N.H.)
