Communication received from China Concerning Its Policies Regarding the Management of Plutonium
Description
The Secretariat has received a note verbale dated 5 September 2012 from the Permanent Mission of China to the IAEA in the enclosure of which the Government of China, in keeping with its commitment under the Guidelines for the Management of Plutonium (contained in INFCIRC/549 of 16 March 1998 and hereinafter referred to as the 'Guidelines'), and in accordance with Annexes B and C of the Guidelines, has made available information on its annual figures for holdings of civil unirradiated plutonium as of 31 December 2011.
Abstract (French)
Le Secretariat a recu de la mission permanente de la Chine aupres de l'AIEA une note verbale en date du 5 septembre 2012 accompagnee d'une piece jointe dans laquelle le gouvernement chinois, conformement a l'engagement qu'il a pris en vertu des Directives relatives a la gestion du plutonium (figurant dans le document INFCIRC/549 du 16 avril 1998 et denommees ci-apres les ) et aux annexes B et C des Directives, communique les statistiques annuelles des quantites de plutonium civil non irradie qu'il detenait au 31 decembre 2011.
