Facility for nuclear quadrupole resonance signal observations by means of a parametric superregenerator

  • 1. Moskovskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ. (USSR). Fizicheskij Fakul'tet

Description

An installation designed to observe the signals of nuclear quadrupole resonance (n.q.r.) of 35Cl in the frequency band 28 MHz is described. A parametric superhigh-frequency oscillator, which works in the mode of quantization of the phase of signals from a spin system excited by a high-frequency magnetic field created by bursts of parametric oscillations, serves as a transmitter of n.q.r. signals. The pumping voltage of the parametric superoscillator with a frequency of about 56.1 MHz and the phase detector reference voltage (9.35 MHz) are set up by a frequency synthesizer R6-31 functioning as a single driving oscillator. The block diagram of the installation is presented. The installation has made it possible to observe spin signals at the frequencies of n.q.r. of 35Cl and KClO3
