Study of an IHQ linac for heavy ion implantation. 2

  • 1. Tokyo Inst. of Tech. (Japan). Research Lab. for Nuclear Reactors

Description

An IHQ (Interdigital - H type Quadrupole) accelerator structure has been studied for application to Ion Implantation. In order to increase phase acceptance, the synchronous phase at the first gap is selected at -60deg. The acceptance is indicated at 140deg using numerical method. The operating frequency is 30 MHz and cavity length is 65 cm. (author)
