The evaluation of structural mode of damages from external impact hazards

Description

An attempt is made to introduce a multidisciplinary and integrated method of approach for the probabilistic assessment of an airplane striking a nuclear power plant or striking in a delineated volume within the site. Additional methods and techniques for evaluating the possibility of structural damage from such a strike and to provide directions for design action are introduced. The latter evaluation may enhance decisions in the development of general criteria for systems design or for the siting of reactors. (orig./HP)

Es wird versucht, einen interdisziplinaeren und integrierten Ansatz fuer die probabilistische Abschaetzung eines Flugzeugaufpralls auf ein Kernkraftwerk oder einen abgegrenzten Raum innerhalb des Standorts einzufuehren. Dabei werden zusaetzliche Verfahren und Techniken zur Bewertung der Schadensmoeglichkeiten bei einem solchen Aufprall und zur Erstellung von Kriterien fuer die Auslegung eingefuehrt. Diese letzteren Auswertungen koennen als Entscheidungshilfen bei der Erstellung allgemeiner Kriterien fuer die Systemauslegung und die Standortwahl von Reaktoren dienen. (orig./AK)
