Description
Study results (April 28 - September 26 1986) on characteristics of radionuclide contamination of the European part of the USSR territory due to the fall outs from the atmosphere onto the surface underlayer in the course of the Chernobyl accident are presented. The radionuclide composition, activity and spatial distribution are determined through aerial gamma spectrometry for the maximum possible number of radionuclides sets. Some maps plotted during the studies for spatial distribution of the surface activity density for a number of radionuclides are presented. 2 figs
