Strangeness production as a function of centrality

Description

A correction to the TPC efficiency calculations based on discriminator response data is shown to have an average effect of 20% on the absolute magnitude of the earlier results. Consistency between runs with the NA36 magnet in different polarities is demonstrated. Comparisons are made with NA35 S+Ag data. The absolute flux of Λ particles is approximately a factor of two in disagreement between the two experiments. A dependence of the rapidity spectrum for lambda's on centrality is demonstrated. copyright 1995 American Institute of Physics
