CW oscillation of end-pumped rectangular thin-rod Yb3+:Y3Al5O12 laser

Description
A diode pumped rectangular thin-rod Yb3+:Y3Al5O12 (Yb:YAG) laser has been developed. A continuous-wave multimode output power of 55 W was obtained with 45% slope efficiency and a TEM00 output power of 26 W was obtained with 25% slope efficiency for the absorbed pump power at room temperature.
