Description
The chairman of Deutsches Atomforum advocates the return to an energy supply consensus which includes nuclear power supplies. The harmonious assimilation of the German-French reactor safety research activities depends on the successful implementation of the European Pressurized Water Reactor project (EPR). The 7.6% increase in power generation by the German nuclear power plants in 1992 shows the future importance of nuclear power. A brief article discusses the situation after detection of cracks in the cooling system of the Brunsbuettel reactor. (DG)
