Description
The paper discusses different methods of maintaining proton beam polarization in IFVE U-70 synchrotron through reasonable changes in the magnetic system of the accelerator. The replacement of two magnetic units in the superperiod with two dipoles and two quadrupoles allows to place a helical full Siberian separator, which separator is introduced adiabatically at the energy of 10 GeV. The circuit of polarization maintenance in U-70 consists of a compact separator and two pairs of pulsed quadrupoles to overcome internal spin resonance in the energy range up to 10 GeV. 8 refs., 2 figs
