Description

This paper summarizes plans to implement potassium hydroxide (KOH) for primary system pH control at TVA Sequoyah for a three-cycle monitored campaign as part of an EPRI-lead initiative for KOH application at western-design PWRs. These plans were developed with EPRI, in large part based on work reported in a companion paper at this conference that addressed chemistry, source term and other radiological technical gaps. Further efforts include development of plant activities for both chemistry and radiation protection personnel that are highlighted in this paper, as well as plans for fuel exams during the three-cycle campaign.
