Facile synthesis and electrochemical performance of double perovskite oxide Y2CuMnO6 for energy storage application

Description
The present work unveils the facile chemical synthesis of novel double perovskite Y2CuMnO6 by a sol-gel route. The double perovskite Y2CuMnO6 exhibits a monoclinic structure with P21/n symmetry. The morphology has been observed by scanning electron microscope. The chemical bonds analysis of double perovskite Y2CuMnO6 has been carried out using Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopic technique. The electrochemical behavior of double perovskite has been studied in 1M Na 2SO4 aqueous solution as an electrolyte, at various scan rates ranging from 2 mV/s to 100 mV/s. The CY curve has rectangular loops that reveal that double perovskite Y2CuMnO6 possesses electric double layered capacitor (symmetric) behavior. Further, this behavior has been verified by Galvanostatic Charging Discharging (chronopotentiometry technique). (author)
