Phase structure of O(N) symmetric (PHI2)33 theory in the limit N->infinite
Description
A connection is established between the disappearance of tricriticality in lattice (PHI2)33 theories in the many-component limit and a recently discovered instability in the continuum theory. It is shown that serveral inequivalent continuum limits may be taken, in which different features of the phase diagram of the lattice model are preserved. (orig.)
