Transverse structures (filaments, spicules, jets) in a laser plasma
Creators
- 1. P. N. Lebedev Physics Institute, Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Moscow
Description
A study is made of transverse inhomogeneities in the coronas of plasmas formed from solid targets in laser fusion experiments carried out at moderate laser radiation intensities. The known theoretical mechanisms likely to be responsible for such structures are analyzed and their characteristic parameters are estimated
