Comparison between experimental and theoretical results on discharge constriction in XeClsup(*) lasers
Description
A simple rate equation model of the molecular kinetics of a long-pulse XeCl laser is described. This model was developed in order to improve the understanding of the processes responsible for power limitations of XeCl and, more generally, RGH lasers, and the influence of discharge constriction on gas kinetics. The results obtained with the above model provide a simple picture which explains the experimental features observed during the experiments
