Description

The effect of the high-temperature cycling annealing upon the mechanical properties of the maraging N12K7M5TYu steel was studied in various embrittlement states with either a transcrystalline or a intercrystalline fracture prevailing. It was shown that in either case this treatment enhances the impact strength of steel. The high-temperature cycling annealing is the most effective when it suppresses the embrittling processes developing along the boundaries of austenite grains
