Description

Deuteron-alpha particle scattering is calculated in a three-body model, taking into account the deuteron break up. The method of calculation is to solve the coupled Faddeev equations in configuration space. The forces are realistic. The nucleon-alpha interaction consists of a Woods-Saxon potential and a Woods-Saxon derivative spin-orbit. The nucleon-nucleon force is of the soft core type. In both cases the interactions reproduce low energy scattering data. The Pauli principle is taken into account in an approximate way, excluding the states where one or two nucleons are bound in 1s-states by the nucleon-alpha interaction
