Description

Medium-grain amphibolitic gabbro which is a dominating petrographic type in mafite part of ophiolite laminated section is investigated by the method of Sm-Nd isotopic analysis. The derived Sm-Nd age (569±20 million years) corresponds to the early Cambrian period and time of the final formation of the ophilate complex, directly prior to the stage of metamorphism
