In-line beam spot measurement of high-current short-pulse electron-beam

Description
An on-line beam spot diagnostic system for high current, short pulse electron beam based on Cherenkov radiation is introduced. A 0.5 mm-thick, 80 mm-dia, quartz foil, which is placed on the actuator, is chosen as the radiator. The Cherenkov radiation signals are detected by CCD camera and the images are processed by computer. Results of beam spot measurement on the 2 MeV injector and 12 MeV LIA of CAEP are reported
