Set-up and preliminary practice of digital radiology conference system

Description
Objective: To investigate the set-up and preliminary practice of digital radiology conference system and its characteristics. Methods: One set image-word workstation with two screens, 1 Matrox G450 demonstration DualHead card, 2 multi-medium projectors, 1 large screen, and 1 measured card of line-pair and grey scale were set up. The patient's information on RIS and images on PACS were fetched with GE Radworks software based on Intranet and PACS. The fetching velocity, resolution, and grey scale of the image were measured. Results: Words and images of the patient were demonstrated successfully on two screens with Matrox G450 demonstration DualHead card and switched rapidly between word-image two-screen and image two-screen, the fetching velocity of the image was fast, the resolution was high (12 LP), the grey scale was good and the image was true to the original. Conclusion: The digital conference radiology system is good, and worth to be popularized
