Excitation functions and yields of (d,α) reaction on natural molybdenum up to the deuteron energy of 13 MeV
Description
The excitation functions of the reactions of 92Mo(d,α)90Nb, 94Mo(d,α)sup(92m)Nb, 97Mo(d,α)sup(95m+g)Nb and 98Mo(d,α)96Nb have been determined by the deuteron bombardment of natural molybdenum, using the stacked-foil technique. The determination is based on semiconductor γ-rays spectrometry. Both, a non-destructive technique and radiochemical isolation of the Nb fraction were used for the activity determination. The thick-target yields and the saturation production values of the 90Nb, sup(92m)Nb, sup(95m)Nb, 95Nb and 96Nb were calculated from the excitation functions for 11.7 and 13.0 MeV deuterons. (author)
