Hygienic assessment of radioactive soil assortment methods

Description
The topicality of radwaste classification is associated with the fact that the amounts of soils to be disposed are significant. The pretreatment is important condition of reliable classification of radium-containing soils: solid inclusions shall be removed from the soil. 60 soil samples were taken on a decontamination site with different levels of gamma exposure dose rate during the assimilation of the technique. A technique of preliminary classification of soils is recommended for removing radium-containing contaminations
