Increasing Organizational Reliability with Knowledge Management in the French RWMO - 23187

  • 1. Andra, 1 rue Jean-Monnet, 92298 Chatenay-Malabry Cedex (France)

Description

With safety at the core of their mission and a mandatory imperative, RMWOs focus on long-term organizational reliability as much as on operational efficiency. To overcome the knowledge challenges inherent to the French national radioactive waste management agency's (Andra) activity and organization, a global and integrated approach to knowledge management is currently the focus of specific efforts. This paper aims to describe and present the first observed results of the various declensions of this approach: strategic analysis of the organisation's knowledge assets; capitalization, and structuration of knowledge assets; and knowledge transfer. The case study of analysis, structuring and capitalization of knowledge assets of a specific activity is also presented as a practical illustration. (authors)
