Possibilities and limitations of the introduction of electrostatic precipitators in reprocessing installations
Description
Experimental results have shown that electrostatic precipitators (electrofilters) can be successfully utilized with off-gas activities up to 1 Ci/m3. Extrapolation on the basis of initial theoretical investigations shows that even off-gas activities up to about 10 Ci/m3 can be tolerated when a radiation field of about 10,000 R/h is present at the same time, as long as small electrofilters with high corona current are utilized
