The (V5+=0) bond responsible for the acceleration of the NO-NH3 reaction on vanadium oxide in dilute gas condition

  • 1. Nikki K.K., Sunosaki, Handa (Japan)

Description

The NO-NH3 reaction was markedly accelerated by the addition of O2 up to 1%. It was found that the (V5+ = 0) bond on the surface of vanadium oxide plays as active site for the reduction of NO by NH3 and the reaction is accelerated in proportion to the amount of the (V5+ = 0) bond. (auth.)
