First atomic pacemaker in human being
Creators
Description
Since April this year the heart of a 58-year old Frenchwoman has been beating regularly with the help of impulses from an atomic-powered 'pacemaker'. This is the first time that such a device has been used in a human being, though successful tests have been made with animals in UK and USA. (author)
