Management of radioactive waste at Point Lepreau generating station

Description

Waste management practice at Point Lepreau nuclear station is described. Only gaseous and liquid wastes will be released to the environment, consistent with regulatory requirements. Solid waste is packaged and stored in engineered structures at the Radioactive Waste Management Facility, the location and general arrangement of which are illustrated. Figures are quoted for the volume and estimated activity for the different types and sources of waste. (U.K.)
