Mathematical model of the Temelin NPP 1000 MW unit feedwater system

  • 1. Ceske Vysoke Uceni Technicke, Prague (Czechoslovakia). Fakulta Strojni

Description

A mathematical model is presented of the feedwater system of the 1000 MW unit of the Temelin nuclear power plant, which has been developed at the Czech Technical University, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The model will be used as a part of the whole power plant model, for transient and accident analyses. It is built up from four submodels, which simulate: non-stationary flow of feedwater in the pipeline system, dynamics of the turbine-driven steam generator feed pumps, thermodynamics of the high pressure feedwater heating system, and heat transport in the feedwater pipeline system. The model applicability is demonstrated by several transient calculations. (author) 5 figs., 8 refs
