Trapping of hydroxyl free radicals produced by different radiations
Creators
- 1. Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Calcutta (India). Biophysics Division
Description
Hydroxyl free radicals (.OH) produced when aqueous solutions were irradiated with x-rays or ultrasonic radiations, can be detected by Fricke dosimetry and DMSO-diazonium salt method. The number of .OH radicals produced by 80 KV x-rays and ultrasonic radiations of frequencies 20 KHz and 3.5 MHz, can be calculated using Fricke method. (author). 2 refs., 1 fig
